just had two hour session at Hove. SW wind, possibly F5, I went for a 4.5m to start and rigged up to a 5m later. The wind was full of holes, some heavy rain and a viscious longshore current. Quite a few of the Hove Lagoon sailors ended up way down wind at my spot, caught out by the weird conditions. Nevertheless, the waves were coming in big and pretty clean. Further out, 6ft faces reared up for the gybe and ride. Managed a few nice swooping downwind turns on the big fellas, clew first in the onshores. Inside, the chest high waves peaked up and begged to be smashed on your back hand. A few juicy aerial off the lips in order. Jumping every wave, involuntary float time in the gusts, steep faces all over the place, naturally forcing you into table tops, got more folded than usual so pretty chuffed.
